Preliminary exam set for Sterling Heights man related to bank robbery charge

Mount Clemens, MI –Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido’s office announces that a 52-year-old Sterling Heights man who is facing charges for a bank robbery in Sterling Heights has a date set for his Preliminary Exam.  

A Preliminary Exam is scheduled on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 9 am for Armand David Saroli at the 41A District Court in Sterling Heights, MI before Judge Annemarie M. Lepore. Saroli is charged with Bank Robbery, a felony punishable up to life or any number of years. He also has a Habitual Offender - Fourth Offense Notice. 

It is alleged that July 23, 2025, at approximately 1:28 pm, Armand David Saroli entered a bank located in Sterling Heights and approached a teller.  Saroli then presented a note to the teller demanding money.  The teller gave Saroli the money demanded, and then Saroli fled the bank. He was later captured by the police.

Saroli is held at the Macomb County Jail with $750,000 cash/surety bond.
