New Baltimore juvenile arraigned on 11 felony charges, including Assault with Intent to Murder

Mount Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that 17-year-old Julian Green, of New Baltimore, was arraigned on 11 felony charges, including Assault with Intent to Murder, stemming from an alleged shooting that took place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. 

It is alleged that on April 22, 2026, Green was in a business in Mount Clemens, MI when a 19-year-old man from St. Clair Shores entered. Green allegedly withdrew a weapon and fired three times toward the other man, who was not struck or injured, however property within the business was allegedly damaged. 

After carefully examining all the available evidence including the severity of the allegations, Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido is charging Green as an adult. 

On Thursday, April 30, 2026, Green was arraigned before Magistrate Ryan Zemke in the 41B District Court in Clinton Township, MI. Green was charged with the following offenses:

TWO OUNTS: Assault with Intent to Murder, a life or any term of years felony

TWO COUNTS: Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm Less than Murder, a 10-year felony

ONE COUNT: Weapons – Firearms – Discharge in or at a Building, a 10-year felony

ONE COUNT: Weapons – Carrying Concealed, a five-year felony

FIVE COUNTS: Weapons – Felony Firearm, a two-year felony, consecutive to main charge

ONE COUNT: Malicious Destruction of Personal Property - $200 or More but Less than $1000, a one-year misdemeanor

These are the maximum charges available under the law based on the evidence presented to date.

Magistrate Zemke set Green’s bond at $500,000 cash/surety, no 10% option. If he can post bond and is released, he must wear a GPS tether and will be subject to home confinement. 

Green is scheduled for a Probable Cause Conference before Judge Sebastian Lucido at the 41B District Court on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.

“It is always a significant and carefully considered decision to authorize charges against a juvenile in adult court. In making that determination, our office evaluates the totality of the circumstances, including the severity of the alleged offense and the interests of justice. When the conduct at issue reflects the nature and gravity of adult criminal behavior, prosecution in adult court may be both appropriate and necessary,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Frederick Bartolomei represented the People at the arraignment.
