Man charged with threatening student in Warren Cousino High School

Press Release

Mount Clemens, MI – Today, Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announces that a 19-year-old man from Warren is being charged with threatening a student with a pneumatic gun in Warren Cousino High School.

On Monday, January 12, 2026, it is alleged that Demarcus Desean Green-Todd, along with a juvenile accomplice who let him into the school, approached the student victim in the hallway of the athletic department of Warren Cousino High School. Green-Todd and his accomplice pushed the student into a corner near the men’s bathroom. Green-Todd then pulled out a pneumatic gun, which appeared to be a real handgun, and then pushed the barrel of the gun into the stomach of the student victim. Video footage from the school captures the altercation.  Green-Todd was later apprehended and admitted to the assault. The juvenile accomplice is also being charged.

After a thorough investigation by the Warren Police, the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office charged Green-Todd with the following:

Count 1: Intentional Threat to Commit Act of Violence Against School, School Employees, or Students with Specific Intent to Carry Out Overt Act, a felony punishable up to 10 years.

Count 2: Dangerous Weapon Carrying With Unlawful Intent, a felony punishable up to 5 years.

Count 3: Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, a felony punishable up to 4 years.

Count 4: Assault and Battery, a misdemeanor punishable up to 93 days.

Count 5: Trespass, a misdemeanor punishable up to 30 days.

On January 14, 2026, Green-Todd was arraigned in the 37th District Court where District Court Judge John Chmura set bond at $25,000 cash/surety.  Green-Todd was remanded into custody with the conditions that if bond is posted, he is prohibited from going to Warren Consolidated Schools, he cannot carry any weapons, and he shall not have any contact with the victim.

The Probable Cause Conference for Green-Todd is scheduled for Tuesday, January 27, 2025, at 8:45 am before District Court Judge Michael Chupa.
