Juvenile charged after altercation at Roseville Middle School

Mount Clemens, MI - Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that his office brought charges against a juvenile after an altercation at Roseville Middle School.

After a review of the evidence presented by Roseville Police, the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office charged the juvenile as follows:

  • Weapons – Dangerous Weapon – Carrying with Unlawful Intent, a 5-year felony
  • Weapons-free Schools – Possessing Weapon, a 93-day misdemeanor
  • Disturbing the Peace – a 90-day misdemeanor.

A Preliminary Hearing was held on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, before Referee Michael Gibbs at the Macomb County Juvenile Justice Center. Over the objections of the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office, Referee Gibbs released the juvenile with a $500 personal bond with house restrictions, no contact with the school unless permitted, and other standard bond conditions.

The juvenile is a Wayne County resident. The court ordered the petition be transferred to Wayne County.

“Safety in our schools depends on all of us. Words and actions can have serious consequences, and minors should never hesitate to ask for help. Protecting our friends, classmates, and communities begins with speaking up,” stated Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office offers an outreach program in which Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys visit high schools to speak with students. These presentations are designed to provide insights into the criminal justice system, educate students on how to avoid becoming victims of crime, and highlight the consequences of choices that could lead to legal trouble. The decisions young people make today can shape the course of their future.
