Hamtramck police officer arraigned on charge of domestic violence

Mt. Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that a 29-year-old Warren man, who is a Hamtramck police officer, was arraigned on a charge of domestic violence.

It is alleged that on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, Saeed Rizvee physically assaulted his wife. Rizvee is currently suspended from duty. His legally possessed weapons were confiscated. 

On Monday, September 29, 2025, Rizvee was arraigned on one charge of Domestic Violence, a 93-day-misdemeanor, in the 37th District Court in Warren, MI before Judge Edward Servitto. 

Judge Servitto set a $5,000 cash/surety, 10% bond. Rizvee is ordered to have no contact the victim. A Pretrial Hearing date has not be set by the court at this time.

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido stated, “As prosecutors, we take all reports of domestic violence seriously, no matter who is accused. At the same time, the defendant, like any person charged, is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. We also want to acknowledge the courage it takes for victims of domestic violence to come forward. Our office remains committed to pursuing justice.”
