Mount Clemens, Michigan – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that Benjamin Warda, 38, of Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, was arraigned on one count of Third-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct.
It is alleged that on June 13, 2026, Warda sexually assaulted a victim on his boat which was docked in a St. Clair Shores, Michigan, marina.
On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, Warda was arraigned on a count of Criminal Sexual Conduct – Third Degree, a felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison. He was arraigned before Judge Joseph Craigen Oster in the 40th District Court in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. Judge Oster set Warda’s bond at $50,000 cash/surety only. Warda was ordered to have no contact with the complaining witness.
The charge is the maximum available under the law based upon the evidence presented to date.

“The filing of these charges reflects our determination that the evidence supports prosecution. Sexual violence has no place in our community, and we will continue to hold offenders accountable," stated Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
Warda is scheduled to appear at a Probable Cause Conference before Judge Oster at the 40th District Court on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
