Mt. Clemens, Mich. – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that 31-year-old Dominick Robinson, of Warren was bound over as charged to the Circuit Court on a count of First-Degree Murder related to the alleged stabbing death of a man in a Warren, Mich. residence.
On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, a Preliminary Exam was held for Robinson before Judge Michael Chupa at the 37th District Court in Warren, Mich. At the conclusion of the exam, Judge Chupa bound over Robinson as charged with one count of Homicide – Murder First Degree – Premeditated, a felony punishable by life without parole.
"Today's ruling confirms that the evidence supports moving forward on a charge of first-degree murder. Violent crime will be met with a vigorous response from my office, and we will prosecute this case with the seriousness it demands. We remain committed to securing justice for the victim and ensuring accountability under the law,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
Robinson will be arraigned before Judge Julie Gatti at the Macomb County Circuit Court on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. Robinson remains in custody at the Macomb County Jail on a $2 million bond.
On December 12, 2025, Warren Police were dispatched to Robinson’s residence where a death was alleged to have occurred. It is alleged that Robinson stabbed the victim multiple times, resulting in his death. Robinson was in the residence and would not exit. The investigation escalated into a barricaded situation involving the Special Response Team. After six hours of negotiation, Robinson surrendered.
