Clinton Township woman arraigned after allegedly fleeing from police in stolen truck

Press Release

Mount Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that Jennifer Roe, 47, of Clinton Township, has been arraigned on serious charges after allegedly fleeing from police in a stolen U-Haul truck.

It is alleged that on Thursday, May 28, 2026, a stolen Dodge U-Haul van was detected by FLOCK cameras near 15 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue. Officers located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop using lights and sirens. Roe initially stopped but then allegedly fled from police.

After approximately 20 minutes, officers terminated the pursuit for safety reasons. Unmarked police vehicles continued to maintain visual surveillance of the U-Haul. During the incident, Roe allegedly sped through traffic and disregarded multiple traffic signals.

The pursuit came to an end when Roe allegedly crashed into another vehicle near Hall Road and Garfield Road.

On Monday, June 1, 2026, Roe was arraigned before Magistrate Ryan Zemke in the 41B District Court in Clinton Township, MI. Roe is charged with the following offenses:

  • Police Officer – Fleeing – Third Degree – Vehicle Code, a 5-year felony
  • Stolen Property – Receiving and Concealing – Motor Vehicle, a 5-year felony
  • Driving – Reckless, a 93-day misdemeanor

These are the maximum charges available under the law based on the evidence presented to date.

"The allegations in this case reflect a blatant disregard for public safety. When a suspect chooses to flee from law enforcement, innocent motorists and families are placed at serious risk. Our office will continue to work closely with our law enforcement partners to hold accountable those whose actions endanger the community,"  stated Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.

Magistrate Zemke set Roe’s bond at $100,000 cash or surety with a GPS tether if she is able to post bond.

Roe is scheduled to appear at a Probable Cause Conference before Judge Jacob Femminineo, Jr. at the 41B District Court on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
