Mount Clemens, MI –Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that 21-year-old Logan Shea of Clinton Township was bound over for trial related to an alleged road rage incident and shots fired from a vehicle in Sterling Heights, MI.
On Monday, January 12, 2026, Shea’s preliminary examination hearing was held before Judge Kimberley A. Wiegand at the 41A District Court in Sterling Heights. Following the proceedings, Judge Wiegand bound Shea over to circuit court on all charges. The hearing was conducted by Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Erica Clute-Cubbin.
Shea will be arraigned before Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Joseph Toia on Monday, January 26, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. He is facing the following charges:
- Weapons – Firearms – Discharge from Vehicle, a 10-year felony,
- Weapons Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony consecutive to main charge,
- Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, a 4-year felony, and
- Weapons Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony consecutive to main charge.
It is alleged that on Sunday, November 16, 2025, officers responded to the area of 15 Mile Road and Schoenherr in Sterling Heights regarding a reported road-rage incident. The caller stated that a man driving a white Chevrolet Silverado, later identified as Shea pointed a firearm at him. The caller provided officers with a description of the driver and the vehicle’s license plate number.
It is further alleged that while officers were speaking with the caller, additional units reported hearing gunshots in the vicinity of 19 Mile Road and Saal. The vehicle involved in that incident was also described as a white Silverado. Officers subsequently proceeded to the address associated with the license plate provided by the caller, which was identified as Shea’s residence. Pursuant to a search warrant, officers recovered multiple firearms.
“The conduct alleged in this case—discharging a firearm from a vehicle and pointing a handgun at another motorist—represents an extreme and unacceptable threat to public safety. The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office takes crimes of this nature with the utmost seriousness and will do what is necessary to protect the people of Macomb County,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
