Clinton Township man arraigned on multiple felony counts, including Second-Degree Murder

Mount Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that Jeremiah Broady, 23, of Clinton Township, MI, was arraigned on serious charges stemming from an alleged shooting resulting in the death of a 21-year-old Clinton Township woman. 

It is alleged that on Friday, January 30, 2026, Broady was at the victim’s residence with her when he allegedly shot her multiple times with a handgun. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene upon the arrival of law enforcement.

Broady was arraigned on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, before Magistrate Ryan Zemke at the 41B District Court in Clinton Township. 

Broady is charged with the following:

Count 1: Murder – Second-Degree, a felony punishable by life or any number of years

Count 2: Weapons Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony, served consecutive to main charge

Count 3: Weapons – Firearms – Possession by a Prohibited Person, a 5-year felony

Count 4: Weapons Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony, served consecutive to main charge

Count 5: Weapons – Ammunition – Possession by a Prohibited Person, a 5-year felony

Count 6: Weapons Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony, served consecutive to main charge

Broady also has a Habitual Offender – Second Offense Notice, an aggravating sentencing factor.

Magistrate Zemke set Broady’s bond at $1 million.  He is scheduled for a Probable Cause Conference before Judge Jacob Femminineo, Jr. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.

Our office will diligently pursue justice, ensuring that all allegations are thoroughly investigated and addressed under the law," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
