Clinton Township man arraigned on charges related to alleged St. Clair Shores armed robbery

Mt. Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that 47-year-old Anthony Terrell Patterson of Clinton Township was arraigned on charges related to an alleged December 12, 2025 armed robbery in St. Clair Shores, MI. 

It is alleged that on Friday, December 12, 2025, Anthony Terrell Patterson entered Advance America on Harper in St. Clair Shores, MI. Patterson displayed a handgun, ordered the two employees and a customer to lie on the ground, and racked the weapon. Patterson took money from cash drawers and a cash box. Then, he fled the business. He drove away in a vehicle which was connected to his home address, leading to his identification. 

On Tuesday, January 6, 2026, Patterson was arraigned before Judge Mark A. Fratarcangeli in the 40th District Court in St. Clair Shores, MI on the following charges:

  • Two counts of Armed Robbery, each a felony punishable up to life or any term of years,
  • One count of Felonious Assault, a 4-year felony, and
  • Three counts of Felony Firearm, each a felony punishable with a mandatory minimum of two years, consecutive with and to other sentences.

Patterson also has a Habitual Offender, Third Offense Notice, which is an aggravating sentencing factor. 

These are the maximum charges available under the law based upon the evidence presented to date.

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Nancy Zieah argued that Patterson should not receive any bond at all, however Judge Fratarcangeli set bond for Patterson at $1.5 million. If released, he must wear a GPS tether. He was remanded to the Macomb County Jail. Patterson is scheduled for a Probable Cause Conference before Judge Joseph Craigen Oster at the 40th District Court in St. Clair Shores, MI on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 8:30 a.m., and a Preliminary Exam on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.

“The allegations in this matter are extremely serious. Armed robbery is a violent crime that will not be tolerated in Macomb County. My office will pursue this case with the determination it deserves," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
