Mt. Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that a Clinton Township, MI man was arraigned on a charge of Assault with Intent to Murder after allegedly assaulting his neighbors.
It is alleged that on Saturday, September 6, 2025, 66-year-old Kurt Studing assaulted his 75-year-old neighbor and his 67-year-old wife. The neighbor was cutting his grass when Studing pulled him off the mower and began kicking and punching him. His wife tried to intervene but she was pushed to the ground several times. A neighbor witnessed the assault and called the police. The man required hospitalization and his wife needed medical attention.
On Monday, September 8, 2025, Studing was arraigned at the 41B District Court in Clinton Township, MI before Magistrate Ryan Zemke.
Studing is charged with the following:
- Assault with Intent to Murder, a life or any term of years felony
- Assault or Assault and Battery, a 93-day misdemeanor
Magistrate Zemke set bond for Studing at $500,000, cash/surety, no 10%. If he is released, he can have no contact with his neighbors and must wear a GPS tether.

Lucido.
