Mount Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that 39-year-old Alaina Fain was sentenced today for charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence stemming from a June 13, 2025 incident when Fain drove her GMC Acadia over her then-husband in a parking lot in Warren, MI.
On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, Macomb County Circuit Court Judge James M. Biernat, Jr. sentenced Fain to 18 months of probation. She must complete a mental health assessment and a batterer’s intervention program. She cannot possess any weapons and cannot be within 500 feet of her ex-husband.
Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Erica Clute-Cubbin represented The People at hearing.
“It is important to remember that sentencing ultimately rests in the hands of the court. In this case, the judge exercised that authority by ordering probation, a mental health assessment, and participation in a batterer’s intervention program, measures designed not only to hold the offender accountable, but to provide a pathway toward rehabilitation and avoid recidivism,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
The County Prosecutor’s Office represents the People. We are committed to achieving justice and following the laws of the State of Michigan. All individuals who are accused of a crime are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
