Mount Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that, over the objection of the assistant prosecuting attorney, the bond for 20-year-old Lakylia Taylor was reduced at a pretrial hearing in the Macomb County Circuit Court.
On Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, Taylor appeared for a Pretrial Hearing before Judge Anthony Servitto in the Macomb County Circuit Court. Her attorney’s motion to reduce bond was granted over the strong objection of the assistant prosecuting attorney. Taylor’s bond was previously set at $2.5 million cash/surety, no 10%. Judge Servitto lowered the bond to $250,000 cash/surety, no 10%. If bond is posted, Taylor is subject to house arrest, must wear a GPS tether and can have no contact with the complaining victim, Tyjaune Morris-Turner. Taylor’s next Pretrial Hearing is set for Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.
It is alleged that on Saturday, May 3, 2025 in the parking lot of Footlocker in Eastpointe, MI, Taylor’s brother, Dejuan Taylor, got into a physical altercation with another man, who possessed a registered handgun and has a valid CPL. Lakylia ran back to her truck to get a handgun. When she returned, the CPL holder and two friends were near Dejuan. Lakylia shot all three of the men, killing two of them.
