L’Anse Creuse High School Student Held in Juvenile Justice Center for Making a School Threat
Mount Clemens, MI - A 14-year-old girl was remanded to the Macomb County Juvenile Justice Center for allegedly making a school threat on Monday, September 23, 2024.
The Clinton Township juvenile is charged with Making a Threat of Terrorism, a 20-year felony. She was arraigned in Macomb County Juvenile Court where Referee Eric Lundquist denied bond and ordered a mental health evaluation. A Pretrial Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 9:00 am before Macomb County Referee Anthony Scotta.
"I want to make it clear that we have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to school threats. This senseless act not only disrupts the lives of students, staff, and the community, but it can have serious, lasting consequences. A single decision made in haste can affect the rest of your life, legally and personally," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
