Highland Park Man Arraigned After an Alleged Home Invasion and Firing at Police

A 24-year-old Highland Park man was arraigned on nine counts in connection with a home invasion in Centerline.

Highland Park Man Arraigned After an Alleged Home Invasion and Firing at Police

Mount Clemens, MI -  A 24-year-old Highland Park man was arraigned on nine counts in connection with a home invasion in Centerline.

It is alleged that on Saturday, October 12, 2024, Brendan Tyrell Wilson forced his way into a home and took a firearm from the house.  Wilson fled the scene in his vehicle, intentionally striking a police car and firing at an officer during his escape. He was arrested later that same day.

Wilson is charged with the following:

Count 1 - Assault with Intent to Murder, a life felony
Count 2 - Felony Firearm, a two year mandatory felony
Count 3 - Home Invasion in the Third Degree, five year felony
Count 4 - Fleeing Police Officers in the Third Degree, a five year felony
Count 5 - Felony Firearm, a two year mandatory felony
Count 6 - Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, a four year felony
Count 7 - Felony Firearm, a two year mandatory felony
Count 8 - Malicious Destruction of Building Less Than $200, a one year misdemeanor 
Count 9 - Driving While License Suspended, a 93-day misdemeanor

Wilson was arraigned in Centerline District Court where District Court Judge Suzanne Faunce set bond at $1 million cash/surety, no 10%.  If released the defendant is to wear a GPS tether and have no contact with any witnesses. A Probable Cause Hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 8:45am before District Court Judge Steven Bieda.
