Former School Employee Re-Sentenced in Criminal Sexual Conduct Case

Mount Clemens, MI - Former Fraser High School contract employee Robert William Lindsay II, was re-sentenced in connection with his Criminal Sexual Conduct no-contest plea on all charges.
From January 2023 to October 2023, Lindsay, age 26, had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl. He was charged and pled no contest to five counts of First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, life felonies, and two counts of Second Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, 15-year felonies. A no-contest plea is treated like a guilty plea at sentencing.
In January 2025, Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Julie Gatti sentenced Lindsay to 96 months to 600 months (8 to 50 years) for the First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct no contest pleas, and 96-180 months (8 to 15 years) for the Second Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct no contest pleas.
Lindsay filed a motion disputing the sentencing guidelines and requested to be re-sentenced. Judge Gatti re-sentenced Lindsay to 72 months to 600 months (6 to 50 years) in the Michigan Department of Corrections. The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office disagreed with the Judge’s decision to lower the sentence.
"The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office opposed the resentencing in this case. However, we respect the Judge’s decision and remain committed to seeking justice for our community," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office represents the people. We are committed to achieving justice and following the laws of the State of Michigan.
