Mount Clemens, MI - On Friday, July 26, 2024, a Macomb County Jury convicted 36-year-old Adam Doe on First Degree Child Abuse after a three week trial by Assistant Prosecutor Darrian Fortier.

Today, Adam Doe was sentenced by Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Matthew Sabaugh to 10-30 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections. The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office will be filing a motion to correct an invalid sentence challenging the scoring of offense variable seven which is “aggravated physical abuse.”  The correction of offense variable seven will increase the sentencing guidelines to a range of  10 1/2 years to 17 1/2 years.

"It is my duty to seek justice for the most vulnerable members of our community. This defendant was held accountable for the harm he inflicted on this infant and this sentence sends a clear message that we will not tolerate child abuse," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office represents the People.  We are committed to achieving justice and following the laws of the State of Michigan.
