Mount Clemens, MI -A 32-year-old man from Harrison Township man has been arraigned for failing to pay child support for his minor child.

On Wednesday, January 20, 2010, Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Mary Chrzanowski ordered Orion Lettieri to pay $100.00 per month in child support. Modifications to increase his child support were made in 2013, and 2017.  Lettieri has had eight show cause hearings and six bench warrants.

After exhausting all enforcement options, the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office charged Lettieri with felony nonsupport, which carries a potential penalty of up to four years in prison. On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, Lettieri was arraigned in the 41B District Court in Clinton Township before Magistrate Ryan Zemke, who set bond at $7,453.00. Lettieri still owes over $29,813.00 in back child support.  A Probable Cause Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 8:30am by District Court Judge Jacob Femminineo, Jr.

"By prosecuting individuals who owe significant amounts of unpaid child support, we aim to uphold justice and secure the well-being of the children who rely on these funds for their basic needs," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.

The Family Division of the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office oversees felony nonsupport cases where arrears exceed $5,000, payments have not been made for three consecutive months, and there is evidence the noncustodial parent has the financial means to pay. The division’s primary goal is to secure financial support for children while ensuring justice is served.
