Detroit Woman Arraigned on 15 Charges in an Alleged Domestic Violence Shooting
Mount Clemens, MI - A 34-year-old Detroit resident was charged and arraigned on 15 charges from a domestic violence shooting with her boyfriend in Eastpointe.
It is alleged that on Thursday, July 25, 2024, Tiana Luckett and her boyfriend were arguing and it turned into a physical altercation. Luckett grabbed a kitchen knife and slashed at her boyfriend. Her boyfriend defended himself. Luckett was able to get a hold of a gun and fired a shot at her boyfriend, missing him and going through the wall into the adjoining apartment which was occupied by two people who were unharmed.
Tiana Luckett was charged with the following:
Count One: Assault with Intent to Murder, a life felony
Count Two: Felony Firearm, two year mandatory felony
Court Three: Discharge of a Firearm in a Building, ten year felony
Court Four: Felony Firearm, two year mandatory felony
Count Five: Assault with Intent to Great Bodily Harm less than Murder, ten year felony
Court Six: Felony Firearm, two year mandatory felony
Count Seven: Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person, five year felony
Count Eight: Felony Firearm, two year mandatory felony
Count Nine: Possession of Ammunition by a Prohibited Person, five year felony
Count Ten: Felony Firearm, two year mandatory felony
Count 11: Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, four year felony
Count 12: Felony Firearm, two year mandatory felony
Count 13: Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, four year felony
Count 14: Careless Discharge of a Firearm, Causing Property Damage Over $50, a one year misdemeanor
Count 15: Domestic Violence, 93-day misdemeanor
Luckett is also being charged as a Habitual second offender.
Tiana Luckett was arraigned on Friday, July 26, 2024 in 38 Eastpointe District Court where Magistrate Mark Makowski set bond at $750,000 cash/surety. A Probable Cause Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 8:00 am and a Preliminary Exam is scheduled for Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 8:00 am by District Court Judge Kathleen Galen.
“We must hold individuals accountable for their actions, especially when those actions result in harm or endanger lives. Our goal is to seek justice for the victims while addressing the broader issues of domestic violence within our community," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
