Mount Clemens, MI -  A 37-year-old man was arraigned in connection with a road rage incident in Roseville.

It is alleged that on Friday, August 30, 2024, Carlos Emanuel Hernandez-Acosta, was driving on I-94 and shot at another vehicle.  He continued to follow the other vehicle and fired multiple rounds at the vehicle in the area of 11 Mile and Hayes. The driver of the other vehicle was shot with non-life threatening injuries.  After further investigation, it is alleged that Hernandez-Acosta switched vehicles after the incident and drove to work.

“This alleged violent and reckless act of road rage put countless lives in danger, and we are fortunate that the victim’s injuries were not more severe. There is no place in our community for such dangerous behavior. Our office will pursue justice to ensure that those who commit these violent acts are held accountable. We are committed to keeping our roads and residents safe," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.

Carlos Emanuel Hernandez-Acosta was arraigned in 39th Roseville District Court where Magistrate Metry set bond at $80,000 cash/surety, no 10%.  Upon release the defendant is to wear a GPS tether, surrender his passport, and is not allowed to leave the state of Michigan.
