Mount Clemens, MI - Blaise Woods, age 34, was arraigned in Clinton Township 41B District Court for failing to pay his child support on his two minor children.

On Monday, January 8, 2018, Blaise Woods was ordered by Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Tracey Yokich to pay $290.00 a month in child support for his two children and on Thursday, May 23, 2019 it was increased to $311.00 a month for his two children. Woods last payment was in April of 2022.  Woods has had six Show Cause Hearings and three bench warrants issued for allegedly not paying his child support.  He allegedly owes over $15,000 in back child support. The Macomb County Friend of the Court exhausted their efforts to enforce the court order of paying child support.  The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office has charged Woods with Failing to Pay Child Support, a four year felony.

Woods was arraigned on Monday, June 24, 2024 by Clinton Township 41B District Court Magistrate Ryan Zemke where bond was set at $3,901.00 which is 25% of the arrears owed. A Probable Cause Hearing is scheduled for Monday, July 8, 2024 by Clinton Township 41B District Court Judge Sabastian Lucido.

“This failure to support his child is not only a violation of the law but a breach of trust and duty to his children. We will pursue this case to secure the financial support owed to the children and uphold the principles of accountability and responsibility in our community," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
