Clinton Township Man Shoots at Three Juveniles While Chasing Them in Car
Mount Clemens, MI - A 21-year-old Clinton Township man was arraigned in connection with shooting at three juvenile males in Macomb Township.
It is alleged that on Sunday, October 27, 2024, Kevin Donte Price, was visiting a friend’s home when a juvenile who lived at the home returned home with two of his friends. The juvenile who lived at the home attempted to enter the home when Price tried to fight with the victim. The victim left the house and returned to the car with his two friends and drove off. Price got into his own vehicle and chased the three boys. Price pulled up next to the juvenile’s vehicle and shot multiple times at the vehicle. The three victim’s were able to get away and call police. No one was injured in the incident but another vehicle was struck with a bullet during the shooting.
Price is charged with the following:
Count 1: Discharge a Firearm from a Vehicle, a ten year felony
Count 2: Malicious Destruction of Personal Property between $1,000 and $20,000, a five year felony
Count 3: Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, a four year felony
Count 4: Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, a four year felony
Count 5: Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, a four year felony
Count 6: Felony Firearm, a two year mandatory felony
Count 7: Felony Firearm, a two year mandatory felony
Count 8: Felony Firearm, a two year mandatory felony
Count 9: Felony Firearm, a two year mandatory felony
Count 10: Felony Firearm, a two year mandatory felony
Kevin Donte Price was arraigned in 41A Shelby District Court where Magistrate James Verploeg set bond at $500,000 cash/surety only. If released, the defendant is to have a GPS tether with home confinement, no contact with any of the victim’s, and can not leave the state of Michigan. He was also referred to Community Corrections for a mental health evaluation. A Probable Cause Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 9:00 am by District Court Judge Douglas Shepherd.
"Violence of any kind in our community is unacceptable, and we take these incidents extremely seriously. This reckless and dangerous behavior could have had tragic consequences, and we are grateful no one was injured. My office will work tirelessly to hold the individual accountable,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
