Mount Clemens, MI - Saman Koreil, age 36, has been arraigned for failing to pay child support.

In December 2021, Koreil was ordered by Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Matthew Switalski to pay $1,009.00 per month in child support for his minor child.   As of June 20, 2023, Koreil owed $16,448.26 in back child support.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office has charged Koreil with Failing to Pay Child Support, a four year felony, after the Macomb County Friend of the Court exhausted their efforts to enforce the court order of paying child support.

Saman Koreil was arraigned on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 in 41B District Court by Magistrate Ryan Zemke who set bond at $4,112.00.  A Probable Cause Hearing is scheduled for Monday, August 5, 2024 at 8:30 am by District Court Judge Sebastian Lucido.

“The defendant has chosen to ignore his duty to support his child, causing unnecessary hardship. This level of neglect is unacceptable and warrants strict legal consequences," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
