Notice of public comment period on proposed FY 2027 Community Services Block Grant plan

Macomb County, Macomb Community Action will accept public comments as required by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services CSBG State Plan for FY 2027. Public comments will be accepted on the CSBG FY 2027 proposed plan from June 8, 2026 through June 22, 2026.

 

The plan summary is as follows: A total of $1,521,406.00 is planned to be utilized in Macomb County for the general purposes of operating two Community Action Centers, providing emergency assistance, emergency and supplemental food and operating transportation services for economically disadvantaged residents. Macomb Community Action’s mission is “Dedicated and persistent action to diminish the effects of poverty by supporting and empowering individuals with effective services that promote independence”.

 

Persons or organizations wanting to comment on or review the proposed plan should contact: Edward Scott, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 21885 Dunham Rd., Suite 10, Clinton Township, MI 48036 by June 22, 2026.
