Macomb County Emergency Management and Communications is seeking public comment on the proposed 2025-2030 Macomb County Hazard Mitigation Plan prior to its submission to state and federal authorities for approval.
Hazard mitigation planning reduces loss of life and property by minimizing the impact of disasters. It begins with identifying hazards and vulnerabilities in the community; and it recommends long-term strategies for protecting people and property from similar events. Mitigation plans are key to breaking the cycle of disaster damage and reconstruction.
