The Macomb County Animal Control mission is to protect the health and safety of our residents and to protect the animals and promote their humane treatment. The Animal Control Division has adopted a no-kill philosophy and will make every effort to promote the live release rate of healthy, non-aggressive animals through adoptions, returning strays to their owners, treating medical cases and working with approved rescue organizations. The Animal Control division's services include pet adoptions, lost and found for pets, animal cruelty and neglect investigations, dog licensing, animal bite reports, and rescue services for domestic animals.
