New workshop module for RELAX Alternatives to Anger targets Parents and Caregivers
A one-time workshop for parents and caregivers of young children has been added to the MSUE RELAX Alternatives to Anger program. The workshop explores the five RELAX concepts with adults who live and work with children who are in the process of developing the social emotional skills needed to deal with stress, anger and strong emotion. A strong literacy component assists participants in exploring unique ways they can address anger and strong emotion with children in their care. The workshop can range from 1½ - 3 hours depending on the audience. Providing progressive pathways for urban youth to experience Michigan's Great Outdoors

Stepping Stones is designed to bring urban youth to Michigan State Parks each summer. The program is designed for youth organizations. Participants must be nine years old or older. For more information, click here. To register contact Gary Williams at 313-494-4884.

NUTRITION EDUCATION AND SERVICES: Our programs are FREE and based on income. Topics covered: Choose My Plate, Label Reading, Heart Health, and Food Safety. Nutrition Services programs provide information and classes to educate the public on the importance of a healthy diet, proper eating habits and safe food preparation.
