Macomb County is home to a variety of beautiful and fun areas with aesthetics so nice, you just have to take a photo! Below are some recommendations for the best places to take quality photoshoots and Instagram pics in the county.
Dodge Park
40620 Utica Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48313
Dodge Park is home to the ever popular Sterlingfest and the city’s annual farmer’s market. But beyond the festivities lies a charming park for civilians to wander and enjoy. Here is where the magic happens. The bridge that connects the park to the rest of the Clinton River Trail, as well as the trail itself, are both equally great spots for beauty shots.
Ford House
1100 Lake Shore Rd, Grosse Pointe Shores, MI 48236
The Edsel and Eleanor Ford House is a gorgeous estate with a museum, gift shop, and delicious dining options at the Continental restaurant. But the grounds themselves have their own charm. To tour the grounds, there’s a fee at the front entrance, but it’s worth it for that attractive Instagram post!
To take any professional photography, however, please fill out their request form, which can be found here.
George George Park
40500 Moravian Dr, Clinton Township, MI 48036
This gem of a park is a great location for all kinds of photos. With their beautiful landscaping, enchanting fountain, and grand pavilion, it’s not surprising how nice the pictures turn out. The park itself is large and has a trail leading farther back than many realize, so don’t forget to check out every area for a peak photo-taking experience.
If you plan to pay for a professional photographer to take your pictures, a miscellaneous use permit is required. To apply for it, please go to the Clinton Township Public Services office, where they charge $250 for a year.
If there is no money transaction, photography is free!
Partridge Creek
17420 Hall Rd, Clinton Twp, MI 48038
For a lot of people, a mall is just for shopping, but Partridge Creek is so much more. It’s an outdoor mall with a large elegant fountain, pleasing stone structures throughout, and glittering string lights that brighten the area at night. All of these enrich your shopping experience, but they’re also great elements for photo-taking.
Similar to the locations listed above, you must first get permission from center management to take photos. They can be contacted by dialing Security at (586) 416-3839.
