Mount Clemens, MI -  A former Warren City Councilman was charged and arraigned for carrying a concealed firearm without a license.

It is alleged that on Sunday, April 28, 2024, Warren Officers made a traffic stop on Edward Kabacinski.  Once officers made contact with Kabacinski, one of the officers observed a handgun on Kabacinski.  Kabacinski does not have a Concealed Pistol License.

Kabacinski, age 50, was charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon (five year felony).  Yesterday, Kabacinski was arraigned in 37th Warren District Court by District Court Judge Suzanne Faunce where bond was set at $5,000 cash/surety.  A Probable Cause Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 8:45am by Warren District Court Chief Judge John Chmura.

"We will prosecute those who choose to unlawfully carry weapons. Everyone, regardless of who they are, is held accountable for their actions," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
