TECC Training Course for Macomb County First Responders

Macomb County Emergency Management in coordination with New Haven Fire Department is pleased to offer a Active Assailant / Rescue Task Force TECC Training Course for both Law Enforcement and Fire/EMS Professionals.

This 8-hour course will equip Law Enforcement with the knowledge and skills to respond to an active assailant incident. Students will provide critical care to victims in active shooter scenarios, emphasizing the Rescue Task Force concept for seamless collaboration with Fire/EMS Responders.

 

Key focus areas:

  • Hemorrhage control techniques using tourniquets and pressure dressings
  • Airway management fundamentals
  • Casualty evacuation strategies within the Rescue Task Force framework

This 16 hour course will equip Fire and EMS professionals with the critical skills to seamlessly integrate the Rescue Task Force concept. Through comprehensive training, you will gain the ability to:

  • Establish clear roles & responsibilities for all team members within the Rescue Task Force framework
  • Coordinate efficient casualty treatment and rescue in challenging environments
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate to ensure optimal patient care and safety

** Participants, if applicable, will receive 16 hours of CAPCE approved EMS continuing education credits
